Job summary

Lost Mountain Dental in Marietta, GA is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. The candidate should have 2-3+ years of chairside experience and be skilled in sterilization, room setup, patient care, and four-handed dentistry.

You will take digital radiographs, maintain infection control, assist the dentist, stock operatories, and help with front-office tasks when needed. The schedule is Monday-Thursday 7:30am-5:00pm, Fridays 6:45am-1:00pm, with hourly compensation of $18-$22

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of chairside dental experience required.
• Experience with sterilization, radiographs, EHR and four-handed dentistry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort to operatory.
• Assist dentist at chairside as directed.
• Maintain sterile, organized operatory and infection control.
• Review health history and complete forms with dentist guidance.
• Ensure proper supplies, schedule setup, and instrument readiness.
• Provide patient comfort and information during visits.
• Stock operatories and manage inventory of clinical supplies.
• Set up trays and instruments per daily schedule.
• Assist with front-office tasks as needed by dentist or manager.
• Supervise maintenance of dental equipment.
• Take digital radiographs and adhere to protocols.

Lost Mountain Dental | Marietta | Full-Time Dental Assistant

We are looking to add an experienced Dental Assistant to our existing team! The ideal candidate will have 2-3+ years of chairside experience.

The team at Lost Mountain Dental believe excellent dentistry starts with a strong relationship between the staff and patients. We have been serving the area for over 20 years and we pride ourselves on the family like atmosphere that we have created for both the patients and employees.

• Fabricate/adjust occlusal guards

Job Duties:

• Greets patients in waiting area and escorts patients to the operatory.
• Assists the dentist in the administration of treatment at the chair side as required or directed by the dentist.
• Maintain a sterile and neat working environment according to current infection control procedures.
• Review the health history, make chart entries under the direction of the dentist and assure completion of forms and signatures.
• Assume the responsibility associated with any duties that may be delegated by the dentist.
• Familiarize the patient with the aspects of their dental visit and provide support and compassion to that patient when it is needed.
• Stock operatories and maintain clinical supply inventory.
• Review daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.
• Assist in front office procedures if time allows or need is determined by the Dentist or Office Manager.
• Supervise preventive maintenance of dental equipment.
• Take digital radiographs.
• Follow practice protocols: quality assurance, biohazards, infection control, referral, emergency medicine, implants, perio program and emergency treatment.

Schedule:

• Weekdays only, no weekends!
• Monday through Thursday 7:30am – 5:00pm
• Fridays 6:45am – 1:00pm

Compensation:

• Hourly pay based on experience, range $18-22/hour
• Benefit package available for full-time employees!
