Jordan Family Dentistry in Lufkin, TX is hiring a Dental Assistant to join a patient-centered practice. You will assist dentists chairside, welcome patients, and prepare them for treatments while maintaining a clean, well-stocked operatory and accurate records.

Applicants should hold an active Texas dental assistant license with at least 2 years of clinical experience and complete dental assistant training. A caring, team-focused attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Active Texas dental assistant license required.
• Dental assistant certification or training completed.
• Minimum 2 years of chairside dental assisting experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Dentists chairside.
• Welcomes patients and prepares them for procedures.
• Selects and sets up instrumentation and materials as needed.
• Sterilizes instruments and maintains clean operatories.
• Maintains accurate patient records and provides post-op instructions.
• Performs lab tasks as instructed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Dentists chairside

• Prepares patients for treatments or checkups ensuring comfort
• Selection and setup of instrumentation, equipment and other dental materials as needed
• Instrument sterilization according to regulations
• Maintains accurate patient records
• Lab tasks as instructed
• Provide post-operative care instructions
• Maintain clean and stocked operatories

Qualifications

• Active Texas dental assistant license
• Dental Assistant training/school certification
• 2 or more years of dental assisting clinical experience
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
• Understanding of health & safety regulations
