More about the role

• Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.)
• Provide chairside assistance during procedures in accordance with state dental practice laws
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA & CDC guidelines
• Manage supplies and inventory, including placing orders as needed
• Collaborate with team members to implement systems and optimize workflow

About Fairfield Family Dental

Fairfield Family Dental is a community-focused practice supported by Heartland Dental, emphasizing collaboration and communication.

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Dental assistant and/or x-ray certification as required by state law
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to protect patient information and complete HIPAA training

Preferred Experience

• 1+ years of dental assisting experience
• Experience with Dentrix or similar software
• Dental assisting certification

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations
• Prolonged sitting and standing
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
• Availability for periodic training sessions
• TB test required prior to employment, except in FL & TN
