Children's Dentistry of Knoxville is seeking a Dental Assistant excited about a rewarding career in pediatric dentistry. The role involves assisting during pediatric procedures (including cases with anesthesia), radiographs, patient education, impressions, and scheduling follow-ups.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited dental assisting program.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures, including general anesthesia.

• Take, expose and develop digital radiographs (bitewings, panoramic).
• Provide hygiene and diet education to patients and families.
• Take impressions and schedule follow-up exams.
• Review schedule for appropriate appointments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist the dentist during generalized pediatric dental procedures, including general anesthesia.
• Clean the patient's teeth.
• Fluoride application
• Take, expose and developdigital radiographs(bitewings, panoramic).
• Provide hygiene and diet education.
• Take impressions.
• Schedule follow-up exams.
• Review schedule to make sure appointments are scheduled appropriately.
• Set-up and tear down dental chairs and operatory rooms.
• Parents consults-discuss treatment plans.
• Clean and sterilize instruments.
• Lab work.
• Restock supplies in rooms and sterilization area.
• Infection control & maintenance of OSHA guidelines.
• Participate in marketing endeavors
• Write letters to be sent to referrals.
