Responsibilities

1. Support dentists and dental hygienists by handing off dental instruments, providing suction, and ensuring chair-side accessibility during procedures or examinations.
2. Greet patients and explain dental care treatment plans to ensure they feel comfortable during their appointment.
3. Prepare treatment rooms for examinations and procedures by laying out necessary sterilized equipment, dental instruments, anesthetics, supplies, and materials.
4. Ensure all infection control policies and safety regulations are met by disinfecting and sterilizing equipment and instruments after use.
5. Schedule appointments, answer patient questions about dental hygiene, and provide postoperative instructions, including infection control methods for teeth and gums after procedures.

Qualifications

1. Certification or an Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or technical school program by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
2. At least 2 years of dental assisting experience as a registered or certified dental assistant.
3. Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification or RDA state license by the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB).
4. Proficiency with dental software and updating patient records.
5. Active BLS/CPR certification.

Compensation

$23 - $25 hourly
