Base pay range

$19.00/hr - $19.00/hr

Location: Landover Hills, MD
Pay Range: From $19.00 per hour for entry-level and up to $28.00 per hour for experienced, well-qualified professionals

Overview

Hero Practice Services is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the dentist and hygienist in providing high-quality and compassionate care to all patients.

The Opportunity

This role offers the opportunity to support Heroes who actively serve children and young people in our communities by improving their overall health and well-being.

Responsibilities include:
  • Providing the best patient experience possible
  • Supporting optimized schedules with effective open treatment calls, educating patient guardians on treatment importance and urgency
  • Taking diagnostic radiographs and intraoral pictures (periapical, bitewings, panoramic)
  • Using dental documentation software to manage patient records accurately
  • Providing behavior management per American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry guidelines
  • Maintaining a clean, sterile, and patient-centric environment
  • Ensuring the practice is clean and presentable, including cleaning restrooms, lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting
  • Complying with all relevant regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a dental office
  • Proficiency with hygiene and operative instruments
  • Strong interpersonal skills and desire for professional growth
  • Organized with a solid understanding of dentistry
Physical Requirements

This position requires full body motion. Employees must be able to sit, walk, stand, talk, hear, handle office equipment, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds regularly.
