Qualifications

  • Certification as CDA or RDA preferred.
  • Experience with dental instruments, sterilization methods, and infection control.
  • Familiarity with Dentrix or Eaglesoft dental software.
  • Ability to perform coronal polishing if certified and assist with other dental procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and prepare patients for treatments to ensure comfort.
  • Set up instruments, equipment and materials for procedures; assist dentist in 4‑handed dentistry.
  • Follow sterilization protocols and maintain instrument cleanliness per regulations.
  • Assist with lab tasks and provide post‑operative care instructions.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and support charting and billing.
  • Schedule patient appointments and help keep the office organized.
  • Perform non‑surgical tasks such as coronal polishing when certified.

Schedule: Monday through Thursday from 7:30am to 5:30pm

Job Title: Dental Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dedicated dental team. As an essential part of our practice, you will play a key role in creating a smooth and comfortable environment for our patients, ensuring high-quality care while supporting the dentist in both clinical and administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care & Comfort: Welcome and prepare patients for treatments or check‑ups, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns they may have.
  • Assist with Procedures: Set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed for dental procedures. Assist the dentist through 4‑handed dentistry and ensure the dental room is well‑prepared for each procedure.
  • Instrument Sterilization & Safety: Follow proper sterilization procedures and ensure that all dental instruments are sanitized in compliance with health regulations.
  • Lab Tasks & Post‑Operative Care: Assist with lab tasks as directed and provide patients with post‑operative care instructions.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date patient records, assisting with patient charts, treatment documentation, and payment procedures.
  • Scheduling & Office Support: Assist in scheduling patient appointments and ensuring the office runs smoothly with minimal disruptions. Keep the dental room clean, organized, and well‑stocked.
  • Regulated Tasks: Perform non‑surgical tasks such as coronal polishing, if certified, and assist with other regulated tasks as allowed by local regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Open to all experience levels
  • Certification: Dental Assistant Certification (CDA or RDA) is preferred. Additional certifications such as EFDA (Expanded Function Dental Assistant) or Radiology Certifications are a plus.
  • Skills & Knowledge:
    • In‑depth knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization methods, and infection control protocols.
    • Familiarity with dental procedures and treatments.
    • Understanding of health and safety regulations in a dental office.
    • Experience with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is highly preferred.
  • Clinical Competence: Ability to perform regulated non‑surgical tasks, such as coronal polishing, and assist with other dental procedures.
  • Communication & Patient Care: Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with patients, providing clear instructions and ensuring their comfort.
  • Organization & Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Team‑Oriented: Ability to work effectively in a team environment while providing high‑quality patient care.
