Job summary

Simply Orthodontics is seeking an Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our Framingham and Hopkinton offices. The role supports the clinical team and helps deliver high-quality orthodontic care. On-the-job training is available to obtain MA state dental licensure.

This full-time position requires flexibility to work at both locations, strong communication, and a patient-centered approach to ensure a smooth, positive experience during appointments.

Qualifications

• Orthodontic experience preferred; willing to train right candidate with dental experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to help patients feel comfortable.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming and positive experience for patients.
• Assist the Orthodontist during procedures and appointments.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for efficient scheduling.
• Take diagnostic records (digital x-rays, photos, scans) as needed.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and care of appliances.

At Simply Orthodontics, the Orthodontic Dental Assistant plays an essential role in creating an exceptional patient experience while supporting the clinical team in delivering high-quality orthodontic care. You are a key part of helping appointments run smoothly, ensuring patients feel comfortable, and supporting efficient clinical operations throughout the day. We are willing to provide on the job training in order for you to obtain you MA state dental license!Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:45 am - 5 pmResponsibilitiesCreate a welcoming and positive experience for patients by helping them feel comfortable and informed throughout their orthodontic visitAssist the Orthodontist during a variety of orthodontic procedures, including adjustments, bonding, debonding, retainer appointments, and other clinical treatmentsPrepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials to ensure appointments run efficiently and on scheduleTake diagnostic records, including digital x-rays, photographs, and scans/impressions as neededEducate patients on oral hygiene, appliance care, retainers, aligners, and post-treatment instructions to support successful outcomesMonitor patient flow and work closely with the clinical team to maintain an efficient schedule and minimize wait timesMaintain accurate clinical documentation and update patient records as neededFollow all infection control, sterilization, OSHA, and HIPAA protocols to ensure a safe clinical environmentMaintain a clean, organized, and professional treatment areaCollaborate closely with the orthodontic team to support exceptional patient care and day-to-day office operationsPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by managementThis is an opportunity to join a well-established, team-oriented orthodontic practice where your role is essential to delivering exceptional patient care and supporting a positive office culture.Full-time BenefitsWe recognize that taking care of our team is just as important as taking care of our patients.
