Job summary

Passion Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant for our Children and Family Dentistry of Hartford location. The ideal candidate is a motivated, team-oriented professional who is passionate about patient care and clinical excellence.

You will support clinicians, assist with a range of procedures, maintain rooms and equipment, and ensure a positive, patient-centered experience. A minimum of one year of experience and an applicable certification are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience preferred.
  • Dental Assistant certification required by state regulations.
  • Knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Support clinicians in delivering exceptional patient care and the Relationship Practice Experience (RPE)
  • Assist doctors during a variety of dental treatment procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient care
  • Sterilize and maintain instruments according to OSHA standards
  • Take dental radiographs as permitted by state regulations
  • Provide pre- and post-operative patient education
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Ensure treatment rooms are clean, organized, and stocked
  • Support restorative, surgical, preventive, and specialty procedures
  • Collaborate with doctors, hygienists, and front office team
  • Contribute to a positive, patient-centered office environment
  • Follow all company policies and infection control protocols

Dental Assistant – Children and Family Dentistry of Hartford

Passion Dental is seeking an energetic, patient-focused Dental Assistant to join our team at Children and Family Dentistry of Hartford

The primary role of the Dental Assistant is to support clinicians in delivering the Relationship Practice Experience (RPE), thereby fostering Patients for Life (PFL). Dental Assistants perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties to ensure efficient, high-quality dental treatment while creating a positive experience for every patient.

Dental Assistants must collaborate effectively with co-workers, specialty dental assistants, patients, and front office staff by communicating constructively and positively. Successful Dental Assistants actively listen, consider feedback objectively, maintain commitments, keep others informed of work progress, and address problems constructively to identify practical solutions.

If assigned to specialty areas, including Endodontics, Oral Surgery, Orthodontics, Periodontics, or Pediatric Dentistry, Dental Assistants will primarily support clinicians within that specialty and may require additional training.

Requirements
Qualifications
