Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X‑rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
• Help the dentist manage emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supplies, and an emergency telephone directory.

Qualifications

• One year of on‑the‑job experience (with supporting documentation).
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Dental Assistants are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
