Job summary

HHM Health in Dallas, TX is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentists in delivering high-quality oral healthcare and to help with clinical procedures, patient comfort, and clinic operations.

The role combines hands-on patient care with administrative and infection control responsibilities, including room setup, sterilization, X-rays, and patient education. A high school diploma is required; dental assistant training is preferred and bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred.
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods; understanding of health & safety regulations.
  • Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus.
  • Knowledge of EHR systems; eClinicalWorks preferred.
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish, Pashto, Burmese or Rohingya to assist a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and prepare patients for dental visits, ensuring comfort and explaining procedures.
  • Set up treatment rooms, instruments, equipment, and materials for dental procedures.
  • Assist the dentist during procedures using 4-handed dentistry, including chairside support.
  • Take and process dental X-rays and impressions as required.
  • Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control standards.
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-operative instructions.
  • Manage scheduling, patient flow, and support administrative tasks including records and payments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and clinic regulations.

We are seeking a Dental Assistant with a passion for service excellence to join our Dental team in the Dallas and Mesquite area. The Dental Assistant supports dentists in delivering high-quality oral healthcare by assisting with clinical procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining efficient clinic operations.
