West Vista Dental in Columbia, SC is seeking a dependable Dental Assistant to join our growing team. You will be chairside with the dentist, prepare treatment rooms, and help keep the clinic organized and efficient while delivering excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• Dental Assistant with DA or DA II experience.
• Current X-ray certification required.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instrumentation.
• Experience with sterilization equipment and infection-control protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Dependable, professional, and positive attitude.
• Strong communication and patient-care skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist chairside with restorative, preventive, and other dental procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms and set up trays and instruments for scheduled procedures.
• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to OSHA and CDC guidelines.
• Turn over operatories efficiently between patients.
• Take dental X-rays as needed.
• Maintain sterilization logs and required documentation.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance of sterilization equipment.
• Ensure operatories and clinical areas remain clean, stocked, and organized.
• Monitor clinical and sterilization supplies and communicate inventory needs.
• Support the dental team in maintaining an efficient patient flow throughout the day.
• Follow all infection control, HIPAA, OSHA, and practice safety protocols.

Part-Time

Monday–Wednesday: 7:45 AM–4:00 PM
Thursday: 7:45 AM–3:00 PM
