Drdenniswells is looking for a dedicated Dental Assistant in Clinton, Utah, who will actively contribute to patient care and clinical success. The role encompasses assisting the dentist during various procedures, managing infection control, and educating patients on oral hygiene.

Qualifications

  • Prior Dental Assistant experience required.
  • Familiarity with Dentrix software is highly preferred.
  • Dental Assistant Certificate is required where state regulations specify.
  • X-ray certification is required where state regulations specify.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during treatment procedures.
  • Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment.
  • Take dental radiographs (x-rays).
  • Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene strategies.

Work Schedule

This Dental Assistant will rotate work schedule every other week.

  • Week 1: Monday 8 AM - 5 PM / Tuesday 8 AM - 5:50 PM / Wednesday 9 AM - 5 PM / Thursday 7 AM - 2 PM
  • Week 2: Tuesday 8 AM - 5:30 PM / Wednesday 9 AM - 5 PM / Thursday 7 AM - 2 PM / Friday 7 AM - 2 PM

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures while helping patients feel comfortable
  • Set up and breakdown operatory post treatment
  • Take dental radiographs (x-rays)
  • Manage infection control by preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment
  • Provide patients with follow-up instructions following all dental treatment procedures
  • Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health
Qualifications
  • Prior Dental Assistant experience required
  • Prior working experience with Dentrix highly preferred
  • Dental Assistant Certificate where state regulations specify
  • X-ray certification where state regulations specify

Working Environment & Physical Requirements

This is a clinical working environment where potential exposure to hazardous waste and blood-borne pathogens is possible. Requires prolonged periods of standing, sitting, leaning, and bending up to 8 hours a day. Will be required to carry, transport, and use tools and equipment. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
