Job summary

Saw Mill Dental in Yonkers, New York, is seeking a Dental Assistant to support our clinical team in a team-based environment. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist during procedures, take X-rays, and educate patients on oral care.

Qualifications

• 1 year on-the-job-experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Dental Assistant are expected to maintain OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake.
• Assist in managing dental/medical emergencies by supporting CPR, emergency drugs and equipment.
