Hessel Park Family Dentistry is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team.

Schedule Needed

Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

More about the role
  • Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, ensuring patient comfort and providing education throughout treatment
  • Review patient health history to provide quality care
  • Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.)
  • Provide chairside assistance during procedures in accordance with state dental practice act
  • Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping
  • Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA & CDC guidelines
  • Manage supply and inventory levels, and place orders as needed
  • Partner with providers to implement systems and maximize workflow

Minimum Qualifications
  • Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
  • Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
  • Dental assistant and/or x-ray certification as required by state law
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to protect PHI and maintain data safeguards, with regular HIPAA training
Preferred Experience
  • 1+ years of dental experience
  • Experience with Dentrix or similar software
  • Dental assisting school certification
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodations
  • Prolonged sitting and standing
  • Ability to lift up to 45 pounds
  • Availability for periodic training sessions
  • TB test required prior to employment, except in FL & TN
