Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing instruments and supplies per infection control protocols.
  • Assist dentists during procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
  • Take high-quality dental X-rays and operate imaging equipment following sterilization procedures.
  • Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft and document treatment per HIPAA.
  • Provide chairside assistance and manage instruments and patient management software; monitor vitals.
  • Support dental reception duties: greet patients, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and manage patient flow.
  • Uphold confidentiality policies and infection prevention standards.

Duties
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments, equipment, and supplies in accordance with infection prevention management protocols.
  • Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort.
  • Take high-quality dental x-rays and operate medical imaging equipment while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques.
  • Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft, documenting treatment details accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform chairside assisting by providing necessary dental instruments, managing patient management software, and monitoring vital signs to ensure patient safety throughout procedures.
  • Support dental reception duties by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow efficiently.
  • Uphold clinical confidentiality policies and adhere to healthcare infection prevention and control standards to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry practices.
