North American Dental Group's Convenient Family Dentistry - Burton, MI is hiring a Dental Assistant. This full-time role supports the clinical team, prepares patients for treatment, and assists the dentist in procedures while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

The ideal candidate has a dental assisting certification and radiography certification, CPR, and proficiency with documentation. New grads are welcome; 1–5 years preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification in dental assisting or equivalent training.
• 1–5 years of dental assistant experience preferred; new graduates welcome.
• Radiography/X-ray certification (state-specific).
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Commitment to delivering excellent patient education and service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting and operatory setup/cleanup.
• Record and review patient health histories; make chart entries under the dentist's direction.
• Set up trays and instruments based on the daily schedule and procedures.
• Prepare patients, sterilize/disinfect instruments, maintain asepsis per OSHA standards.
• Assist with dental procedures, including radiographs (exposing and developing).
• Ensure OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and other certifications and safety requirements are met.

Your Work Schedule

• Monday: 8:30am-5:00pm
• Tuesday: 8:30am-5:00pm
• Wednesday: 8:30am-5:00pm
• Thursday: 8:30am-5:00pm
• Friday: 8:30am-3:00pm

Your Role as a Dental Assistant

As a Dental Assistant, you'll collaborate with our practice team to provide outstanding clinical support, ensuring patients receive the care they need. You'll prepare patients for treatment, assist the dentist in restorative procedures, and maintain a high standard of care and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
• Record and review patient health histories, make chart entries under the dentist's direction, and ensure all documentation is complete.
• Set up trays and instruments based on the daily schedule and procedure requirements.
• Prepare patients, sterilize/disinfect instruments, and maintain asepsis following OSHA standards.
• Assist with dental procedures, including exposing and developing diagnostic radiographs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and other certifications and safety requirements.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Dental Assisting Certification or prior on-the-job training.
• 1-5 years of experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.

• Current CPR certification.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
