We seek a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental team at a hospital clinic. The ideal candidate will support the dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience. The role involves preparing patients for treatment, assisting with dental procedures, maintaining patient records, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic.

Shift: Monday through Friday, 7 am to 4:30 pm, 8-hour shift. No Weekends or Holidays

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for treatment by explaining procedures and providing post-operative instructions as directed by the dentist.
• Sterilize instruments, materials, and equipment, and prepare surgical trays for dental procedures.
• Maintain dental equipment in a clean and operable condition to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Set up all necessary instruments and equipment required for various dental procedures.
• Assist with prosthetic preparations, including taking dental impressions.
• Pour and trim models from impressions and construct custom impression trays as needed.
• Perform and develop high-quality intra-oral x-rays according to dental protocols.
• Obtain and record patients' relevant medical history, chart examination and treatment information, and document prescription details accurately.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA)
• Must have Dental Assistant Radiographic certification
• At least two years of experience as a Dental Assistant
• American Heart Association BLS
• Ability to pass a background check
