Job summary

Signature Dental Experience in Bloomington, IL is seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. You will provide chairside support across a broad range of services, take digital X-rays, and ensure patient comfort with compassionate care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide chairside assistance across a full range of procedures
  • Take and process digital X-rays and intraoral images per Illinois regulations
  • Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment per infection control protocols
  • Set up operatories and prepare instruments, materials, and equipment before appointments
  • Ensure patient comfort and provide calm, compassionate support throughout treatment
  • Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA
  • May work some evenings to meet practice needs

Dental Assistant
Bloomington, IL 61704 | Full-Time
Signature Dental Experience is looking for a skilled, patient-centered Dental Assistant to join our team. Clinical Responsibilities
  • Provide expert chairside assistance to Dr. Kassem across a full range of procedures
  • Assist across our complete scope of services: preventive dentistry, restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, family dentistry, dental implant restorations, dental prosthetics, laser dentistry, periodontal disease treatment, clear aligner treatment, mouth guards, and emergency dentistry
  • Take and process digital X-rays and intraoral images in compliance with Illinois state regulations
  • Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment following strict infection control protocols
  • Set up operatories and prepare all instruments, materials, and equipment before every appointment
  • Ensure patient comfort and provide calm, compassionate support throughout every phase of treatment
  • Obtain dental histories and ensure health histories are updated for all returning patients; take blood pressure and pulse as necessary
  • Take dental impressions and assist with lab tasks as directed
  • Provide after treatment instructions and patient education on oral hygiene and home care
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records in full compliance with HIPAA
  • Willingness to work some evenings as scheduled to meet the needs of the practice
Administrative & Front Desk Support (as needed)
  • Welcome patients and escort them to their operatory
  • Schedule and confirm appointments; assist with treatment coordination
  • Answer phones and assist with patient inquiries professionally and warmly
  • Process co-pays and assist with billing and supply ordering

  • Illinois Dental Assistant Permit required, including completion of an approved Illinois radiation safety course and radiography training
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Dental assisting experience preferred
