Pay Range: From $16.50 per hour for entry-level positions up to $25.00 per hour for experienced, well-qualified professionals.

Hero Practice Services is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the dentist and hygienist in providing high-quality and compassionate care to all patients.

The Opportunity

This role offers a unique opportunity to support the Heroes who actively serve the children and young people in our communities by improving their overall health and well-being.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide the best patient experience possible.
  2. Support optimized schedules and conduct open treatment calls regularly, educating patient parents/guardians on the importance and urgency of pending treatments.
  3. Take diagnostic radiographs and intraoral pictures (periapical, bitewings, panoramic) and assist others as needed.
  4. Use dental documentation software to locate and manage patient records efficiently.
  5. Provide behavior management following guidelines approved by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
  6. Maintain a clean, sterile, and patient-centric working environment.
  7. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations (OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, employee handbook).
  8. Keep the practice clean and presentable, including cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
  9. Perform other duties that support the business and our mission as needed.
Qualifications
  1. Experience working in a dental office.
  2. Proficient with hygiene and operative instruments and understanding their proper use.
  3. Strong interpersonal skills and a desire for professional growth.
  4. Organized with a superior knowledge of dentistry.
Physical Requirements

This position requires a full range of body motion. Employees must regularly sit, walk, and stand; talk or hear; use hands to operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.
