Overview

Dental Associates of Northern Virginia is seeking a Dental Assistant in Annadale, VA to support our clinical team by delivering high-quality patient care in a team-based environment.

Position Overview

As a Dental Assistant, you play a vital role in supporting the dental team during treatments, ensuring excellent patient care, and helping us create positive experiences. Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience.

This is a part-time position: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, assist dentists during procedures
• Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, maintain study models
• Ensure infection control, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow safety protocols
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and intake
• Assist in managing dental and medical emergencies, maintaining CPR certification, emergency supplies, and contact information

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of dental assisting experience with supporting documentation
• X-Ray certification
• Nitrous Oxide certification (highly recommended)
• High school diploma or equivalent

Maintaining annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training is required.
