Comfort Dental of Alameda is seeking a dependable Dental Assistant to support the dentist during procedures, prep and sterilize instruments, and ensure patient comfort in a fast-paced clinic in Albuquerque, NM.

The role demands a registered dental assistant or CDA certification, experience with dental software, and strong teamwork. Both part-time and full-time options are available, with competitive pay and room for growth.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid dental assistant license/certification (RDA/CDA).
• Experience with chairside procedures and patient care is expected.
• Familiarity with dental practice software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare, sterilize, and organize instruments and equipment.
• Take and process dental X-rays (if certified).
• Ensure patient comfort and provide post-procedure instructions.
• Maintain clean and organized treatment rooms per OSHA/CDC standards.
• Support scheduling and office workflow as needed.

Pay

• $16 - $25 per hour

Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience. Daily and weekly bonuses available.

Shift & Schedule

Work Hours:

7:15 am - 1:45 pm / 1:15 p.m. - 7:45 pm Monday-Friday

Some Saturdays 7:15 am - 1:45 pm

Requirements

• License & Certification: Registered dental assistant / Certified dental assistant
• Software Experience: Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Dexis
• Clinical Experience: Cosmetic Dentistry, Implant Dentistry, Emergency Dentistry, General Dentistry

• -Assist the dentist during procedures
• -Prepare and sterilize instruments
• -Greet and care for patients with a positive attitude
• -Maintain clean and organized treatment areas
• -Support office operations as needed

Preferences

• License & Certification: X-ray / Radiography Certification

• -Any experience level is welcome!
• -Chairside assisting experience and comfort supporting dentists during procedures
• -Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and common procedures
• -Familiarity with OSHA & CDC infection control and sterilization protocols
• -Ability to take and process digital X-rays (radiography certification a plus)
• -Experience with dental practice software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar)
• -Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients and team members
• -Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy clinical setting
• -Compassionate, patient-focused, and team-oriented approach
• - Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
