Job summary

Adventure Dental, Vision, & Orthodontics in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the dentist and hygienist in providing high quality, compassionate care to all patients. Pay range: $18-$24/hr with bonus opportunities.

Responsibilities include collecting patient records, radiographs, notes, patient education, instrument sterilization, and maintaining OSHA standards. Extensive duties support care for underserved children.

Qualifications

• Radiology education and training that meets state requirements.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including a friendly outgoing demeanor and the ability to actively listen to patients and parents.
• Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks correctly and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Collect and document clear, concise, and accurate patient records.
• Obtain quality dental radiographs (periapicals, bitewings, panoramic) as requested by the dentist.
• Write accurate and consistent notes, ensuring chart notes match services completed.
• Create a friendly relationship with patients and parents as well as educating them on good oral health.
• Organize and sterilizing dental instruments and workstations per OSHA standards.
• Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, etc.
• Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children

• Knowledge of e-Clinical Works (eCW) a plus
• Previous experience working in a dental office preferred

Pay Range

$18-$24/hr (plus bonus)
