Job summary

University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine is seeking a full-time anesthesiology faculty member at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level in the Academic Clinician track. The role involves clinical and didactic instruction across residents and students, with emphasis on sedation and advanced anesthesia care.

Start date negotiable and salary commensurate with experience. Qualified candidates will hold a DDS/DMD with advanced training or MD/DO with dental anesthesiology

Qualifications

DDS/DMD degree with certificate of advanced training in Dental Anesthesiology preferred.
MD or DO with dental anesthesiology training acceptable.
Board eligibility or board certification from American Dental Board of Anesthesiology or American Board of Anesthesiology.
Eligibility for dental or medical licensure with anesthesia permit in Pennsylvania.
Experience in anesthetic management of patients with special health care needs.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality clinical and didactic instruction to postgraduate residents and dental students in anesthesiology and sedation.
Deliver expert anesthetic and sedation management for patients needing advanced interventions.
Contribute to educational initiatives and collaboration to advance sedation and anesthesia programs.
