This position assists the dentist in providing dental care to prisoners at the assigned correctional facility. Duties may be performed at other facilities as needed. The role involves supporting the overall operations of the dental clinic.
Possession of a radiography certification, which involves completing a dental radiography course approved by the Michigan Board of Dentistry, pursuant to Administrative Rule R338.11307.
This is a test-designated position (DART) with direct contact with prisoners for more than 50% of work time and is located entirely within the secure perimeter of a correctional facility.
Some positions require a radiography certification involving completion of an approved dental radiography course. The department will not hire individuals with felony convictions or pending charges, in accordance with Public Act 140 of 1996.
