Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years in medical billing; physician/provider billing preferred.
  • Knowledge of payer requirements, denials, and appeals for Medicare/Medicaid/commercial.

Responsibilities

  • Review denied claims to determine denial causes and correct errors.
  • Prepare and submit appeal documentation and follow up with payers.
  • Track denial reasons and outcomes to identify trends.
  • Follow up on unpaid claims with insurance companies.
  • Verify insurance eligibility to support corrections.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve underpayments or unapplied funds.
  • Generate reports on denial rates and recovery outcomes.
