Job summary

Singing River Health System is seeking a Denials and Appeals Analyst to support revenue recovery by managing the full life cycle of denied claims. You will coordinate with clinical staff to prepare appeals and work with third party payors to resolve denials.

The role requires Epic Resolute Hospital Billing proficiency, three years of patient accounting/insurance experience, and strong de-escalation and communication skills. Travel within SRHS service area may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Epic certification in Resolute Hospital Billing and/or Certified Coding Specialist preferred.
• Must have de-escalation training completed by orientation (90 days).
• Minimum of three (3) years’ patient accounting and insurance experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage life cycle of denied claims and coordinate appeals.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to create written/verbal appeals for payers.
• Communicate denial status to Organizational Leaders and stakeholders.
• Travel within SRHS service area may be required.
