Job summary

Doyon / Aramark Joint Venture is seeking Native Alaskans for the role of Interpretive Guide that will act as a personal interpreter of cultural, historical, natural resources, and support to guests on a guided tour of Denali National Park & Preserve.

The position is seasonal, April 30 – September 17, 2026, with on-site housing, meal plan, and local discounts. Wages include paid holidays, sick pay, and benefits stipend.

Qualifications

• Sits, stands and walks for varied amounts of time.
• Basic Math skills required.
• Demonstrates interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Requires occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must be available to work flexible hours.
• Native Alaskan is required.

Responsibilities

• Educate self on local ecology, geology, history and culture to answer guests' questions.
• Provide interpretation in diverse settings: walking tours, motorcoach, family groups, or multimedia presentations.
• Choreograph tours to engage visitors of all ages and cultures.
• Adhere to cash handling policies and procedures.
• Maintain security of assets and a safe work environment.
• Work in environments with exposure to elements and extreme temperatures.
• Maintain excellent customer service and a positive attitude.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
