Job summary

The Den Café at Kansas Wesleyan University, operated by JRI Hospitality, is hiring for Full-Time and Part-Time Cook positions. You will prepare a la carte items, coffee drinks, smoothies, and beverages, while keeping the kitchen clean and hygienic under supervision.

Qualifications

• Prior restaurant experience.

Job Description – Full Time & Part Time Opportunities

At JRI’s Kansas Wesleyan University operations, we’ve created a great place to eat and to work. You’ll be part of a team delivering freshly prepared, made‑to‑order menu items for our guests coupled with a unique mix of fun, great food, and exceptional hospitality.

As a Cook at The Den Café in the Student Activity Center, you will be responsible for preparing and executing a variety of à la carte items for purchase by students, faculty, and guests under the direction of the Chef or other supervisors. This includes not only food items but also preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, smoothies, and other beverages. Additionally, you will play a vital role in maintaining the organization and cleanliness of The Den Kitchen and surrounding areas as needed, ensuring a hygienic and efficient workspace. Your responsibilities will also involve participating in the removal of waste products from the Kitchen Area to uphold sanitation standards. At times, you may also be asked to work in other food service areas on campus as required.
