Job summary

A fast-growing specialty contractor based in Bloomington, Indiana, is seeking a seasoned Demolition Foreman to manage industrial demolition sites. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience, including supervising demolition projects, and must adhere to safety practices. Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, maintaining tools, and ensuring compliance with all safety protocols. Job description

National Salvage & Service Corporation is a fast-growing specialty contractor working with industrial clients (large utilities and engineering firms) to complete their largest demolition and abatement projects. National seeks a seasoned Demolition foreman who is skilled at site management of industrial demolition jobs. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment.

DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Experience and knowledge in construction/demolition
  • General knowledge of day-to-day dismantlement/demolition operations and knowledge of hand & power tool usage
  • Willingness to learn new procedures or tasks
  • Experience managing personnel and running work
  • Ability to read and understand architectural/structural drawings
  • Follow good construction safety practices and following company code of ethics, policies and procedures
  • Operates equipment in a clean and efficient manner
  • Assures demolition is always conducted in a safe manner
  • Must be willing to care for and maintain tools and equipment in addition to other duties
  • Able to measure, mark and record areas where work is to be performed and has been completed
  • Assisting other trade workers as necessary
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills, the ability to track, record and plan work tasks, be able to work safely and promote a safe work environment
  • Ability to lift, pull, push up to 100 pounds
  • Work in various weather and job location conditions
  • Ability to occasionally work irregular hours and weekends
  • Ability to understand and follow directions and take instruction in English
