Cornerstone Caregiving is seeking an Alzheimer's and Dementia Caregiver to provide specialized in-home care to clients with dementia in the Southwest Atlanta area. You will follow personalized care plans, maintain consistency, and show patience and empathy in every interaction.

The role emphasizes dementia-informed care, companionship, and safety, with responsibilities ranging from medication reminders to mobility assistance and light housekeeping.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years caregiving with direct dementia care experience required
• Knowledge of dementia behaviors (sundowning, wandering, agitation) and appropriate responses
• Pass background check
• Complete dementia-specific training within first 30 days of hire (Care Academy)

Responsibilities

• Remind clients about prescribed medications
• Assist with mobility and fall-risk awareness
• Provide personal care and hygiene support
• Prepare meals per dietary needs
• Light housekeeping
• Provide companionship and meaningful engagement
• Use de-escalation techniques for confusion or agitation
• Support client safety and wandering prevention
• Follow individualized behavioral care plans
• Observe and report changes in cognition, mood, or behavior to office/family
• Perform other non-medical home care duties as assigned
