Job summary

Highland Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation in Happy Valley, PA is seeking a dynamic Activities Department teammate for full-time or part-time roles. Experience is a plus; candidate must be available every other weekend and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to facilitate group activities and work with dementia residents.
• Positive attitude, energy and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Establish rapport with Alzheimer's/Dementia care residents and families.
• Develop approaches to meet psychosocial needs of residents.
• Collaborate with Activity Director to develop and run programming ideas for residents.
• Demonstrate knowledge of dementia and appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Work effectively as part of a team.
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect.
• Maintain a positive, enthusiastic and patient approach.
