What You'll Do

In response to our growing business needs, we are looking to add another Machinist/Mold Maker to our team. The Machinist/Mold Maker will be responsible for producing and repairing all tooling related to the injection molding and automation processes using MasterCAM and various CNC and manual equipment. Involvement in mold and part design and coordination with Tooling Engineers and R&D is essential.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manufacture injection molds
  • Repair injection molds
  • Manufacture fixtures, robot tooling, and repair parts as needed
  • Create tooling to support R&D projects
  • Coordinate with R&D and production to establish lead times and priorities

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED.

Other qualifications include:

  • Thorough knowledge of MasterCAM
  • Thorough knowledge of cutting tools, workholding, and materials
  • Expertise with CNC equipment and manual machining processes, including VMC, Lathes, surface grinders, saws, measuring equipment and hand tools
  • Familiarity with Haas CNC controls
  • Time management abilities to ensure tooling is available when needed
  • Understanding of the specific demands and all requirements of injection mold tooling, including mold material selection, structural support for clamping and injection hydraulic forces, lubrication and actuation of mold components, venting, vacuum channels, mold heating and cooling, part ejection and surface finish.
