Job summary

Wella Operations US LLC is seeking a Demand Planning professional to develop and maintain accurate forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and initiatives. You will work closely with the Supply Planning Hub to ensure product availability and drive improvements across the S&OP process.

The role requires at least two years in demand or supply planning, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with BY and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop demand forecasts based on historical patterns, availability, market intel, and initiatives.
• Maintain BY forecasts as the key forecasting tool using statistical methods.
• Perform root cause analysis for forecast deviations and create action plans.
• Collaborate with Supply Planning Hub for optimal service results.
• Ensure target product availability by coordinating with Supply Planning Hub contacts.
• Monitor VAR and coordinate prevention plans with the respective Market.
• Conduct root cause analysis for demand-driven orders and volume adjustments.
• Champion S&OP processes and drive continuous improvement.
• Communicate with Sales, Commercial and Finance to build accurate forecasts.
• Provide demand insights from data analysis (seasonality, trends, promotions).
• Coordinate closely with Commercial and Sales on new product launches and promotions.

Job description

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Develop demand forecast based on demand, historical patterns, availability situation, market intelligence and initiatives plan
• Using deep knowledge of statistical forecasting methods and using them to efficiently maintain optimal BY forecasts as the key forecast business tool
• Root cause analysis and action plan for forecast deviation to improve forecast accuracy
• Closely collaborate with Supply Planning Hub for optimal service results
• Ensure target availability of products in scope of responsibility by working with dedicated contacts in Supply Planning Hub, highlighting biggest gaps and driving corrective actions
• Monitor VAR and coordinate with respective Market on the prevention and depletion plan.
• Root cause analysis and action plan for demand-driven orders/volume cuts
• Driving process excellence includes championing the S&OP process, continuous improvement and best practice
• Collaborates and communicates with Sales, Commercial and Finance on building correct forecasts
• Brings demand perspective based on relevant data analysis (historical data, seasonality, market trends, special offers).
• Closely monitor and plan new product launches and promotional activities together with Commercial and Sales.
