Description du poste

Client: PE Backed Beauty Holding Company that owns 3 brands.

Summary:

We're looking for a Demand Planning Specialist who wants to know the forecast inside and out — and make it better every month. Reporting to our Demand Planning Manager, you'll be the engine behind the data, reporting, and process that keep our wholesale/retail and ecommerce demand plans accurate, on time, and trusted across the brands.

You’ll pull and clean POS, retailer inventory, and shipment data, maintain the forecast files and NetSuite records the team relies on, and build the reports that help Sales, Marketing, New Product Development, and Operations see what's really happening on shelf. When the Demand Planner walks into a commercial conversation, you're the reason the numbers are ready, right, and easy to understand.

This is a role for someone a few years into their planning career who's curious, organized, and genuinely enjoys a well-built spreadsheet — and who wants to grow toward owning a forecast. You'll get real exposure to S&OP, new launches, and cross-functional decision-making, along with hands‑on experience using AI-assisted forecasting tools. We move fast, we're spread across geographies, and we're still building — which means there's plenty of room to contribute ideas and take on more as you grow.

What You'll Do
Keep the Forecast Fueled
  • Collect, clean, and load weekly and monthly POS, shipment, and retailer inventory data from account portals, EDI feeds, and internal systems so the forecast is always built on current, accurate information.
  • Maintain item‑level forecast files across geographies, wholesale accounts, retail banners, and ecommerce — updating actuals, rolling forward periods, and keeping version history clean.
  • Track retail inventory positions, weeks‑of‑supply, and sell‑out velocity at the account and door level, and flag emerging out‑of‑stock or overstock risks to the Demand Planner early.
  • Keep item master data, SKU attributes, account mappings, and forecast hierarchies accurate in NetSuite and supporting planning tools.
Own the Reporting Rhythm
  • Build and distribute recurring reports — forecast accuracy and bias, sell‑in vs. sell‑out, inventory health, and actuals vs. plan — on a reliable weekly and monthly cadence.
  • Prepare data, charts, and summary materials for monthly demand reviews and S&OP meetings, including a clear record of what changed and why.
  • Maintain dashboards and turn routine questions from Sales, Marketing, and Operations into quick, accurate answers.
  • Maintain the new product launch tracker and promotional calendar, capturing timing, ranging commitments, and campaign details from NPD, Marketing, and Sales.
  • Support SKU transitions and range changes by tracking phase‑in/phase‑out dates, remaining inventory, and open actions across teams.
  • Build launch and promotional lift estimates with the Demand Planner, and track post‑event performance so we learn from every launch.
Be a Connected Teammate
  • Partner with Retail Account Managers and the Growth Team to gather account‑level updates, retailer intel, and order timing, and make sure that input lands in the forecast.
  • Coordinate with Operations Planning and Purchasing to share forecast updates and answer questions on supply priorities and inventory availability.
  • Organize and support cross‑functional planning meetings — agendas, inputs, notes, and follow‑ups — so decisions turn into action.
Make the Process Smarter
  • Document planning processes, data sources, and calendars so the function is repeatable and scalable as we grow.
  • Support our NetSuite demand planning integration, including data validation, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Look for manual steps that can be automated or simplified — including through AI‑assisted tools — and bring those ideas to the team.
  • Run data pulls and first‑pass analysis for scenario planning requests.
What You Bring
  • 3–5 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, sales operations, or commercial analytics, ideally in consumer goods, beauty, or retail.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, XLOOKUP/INDEX‑MATCH, data cleanup) and comfort working with large datasets.
  • Familiarity with retail POS data, retailer portals, or EDI is a plus.
  • Interest in or exposure to AI‑assisted forecasting tools; experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar is a bonus.
  • NetSuite or other ERP experience preferred.
  • Clear, organized communication — you can explain data simply to a commercial audience.
  • Comfort working across time zones and geographies.
Who You Are
  • You're accurate and reliable. People trust your numbers because you check them twice — and you notice when something looks off.
  • You're curious about the business. You don't just update the file; you want to know why an account is moving or a launch is beating plan.
  • You're organized and on top of deadlines, even when priorities shift mid‑week.
  • You're a team player who builds good relationships across Sales, Marketing, NPD, and Ops — and you're comfortable asking questions.
  • You want to grow. You're excited to take on more ownership of the forecast over time.
  • You bring good energy. We work closely together, and we want people who make the team sharper, more fun, and more capable.
