Manager, Demand Planning

Position Overview:

Johnsonville is looking for a Demand Planning Manager to join their Global & Analytics Team. If you enjoy working for a growth-minded organization that prioritizes learning, personal accountability and cross-functional teamwork, then this is a great opportunity for you!

The Demand Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing demand planning and forecasting activities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop accurate demand projections aligned with Johnsonville’s business strategy. This strategic role involves analyzing market trends, customer behavior and historical data to identify demand drivers and fluctuations. T he Demand Planning Manager plays an integral role in the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process; working with members in Sales, Marketing and Finance to develop our consensus demand plan.

Flexible Work Schedule: Opportunity for Hybrid schedule after training; Summer Hours Available Memorial Day through Labor Day (half day Fridays)

Responsibilities:

· Lead a team of three Demand Planning Analysts that own the demand planning activities, including: leveraging our o9 Connected Planning solution’s driver-based forecasting tool, statistical analyses, analyzing downstream data (Nielsen, IRI), managing product life cycles, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Operations and Finance

· Lead and oversee the demand planning and forecasting process, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of demand projections

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, supply chain and finance to gather relevant data and inputs for demand planning

· Collaborate with product management and marketing teams to incorporate new product launches, promotional activities and market expansion plans into demand forecasts

· Conduct demand variance analysis, comparing actual demand against forecasted demand and identify root causes for significant deviations

· Engage with commercial planning and channel partners to gather market intelligence, validate demand assumptions and incorporate external insights into the demand planning process

· Generate regular reports and dashboards that provide insights into demand performance, customer segmentation and market dynamics

· Work and collaborate alongside our IBP Demand Process lead for monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle and budgeting / target setting

· Identify opportunities to enhance demand planning processes, tools and methodologies to improve forecast accuracy and efficiency

· Implement best practices in demand planning, leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning and predictive modeling techniques

· Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in demand forecasting and incorporate relevant advancements into the organization's practices

· Drive a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making within the demand planning functions

Education:

· Bachelor’s Degree required

Experience:

· Minimum 6 years’ experience, 3 years in a coaching role with proven ability to develop those you coach

· IBP/S&OP/S&OE process experience

· Experience with advanced planning and optimization within a Connected Planning Solution

· Experience in demand planning, forecasting, or related roles

· Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in statistical modeling and demand analysis techniques

· Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex demand concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

· Experience leveraging AI / Machine learning for data driven decision making

· Strong collaboration and leadership abilities, with a track record of working across departments and leading cross-functional teams

· Proven learning agility in a rapidly changing environment

· High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
