As a Senior Demand Planner, your role will be to develop and present the unconstrained demand plan in accordance with the monthly Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process calendar. You will use sales history and demand planning software to generate statistical models that predict future demand.
This role can be remote for candidates based in the Greater Atlanta, GA area.
You will do this by:
- Driving sales demand analytics and developing demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for one or more business units
- Reviewing historical sales trends, researching market demand drivers, preparing forecast data, developing statistical forecast models, and evaluating forecast results
- Working closely with Sales, Marketing and Finance, coordinates cross-functional reconciliation activities on significant variances and refines the forecast model to reflect updated assumptions
- Identifying gaps to the Annual Operating Plan identifies competitor dynamics and other external factors that may impact demand
- Documenting and retaining history of planning assumptions
- Developing metrics to monitor forecast errors at all levels of the process and ensuring root-cause analysis and corrective actions are completed
- Facilitating monthly operational demand forecast planning process for multiple business units
- Understanding how environmental factors, market dynamics, competitors and internal programs or overrides generate the need to adjust the mathematical forecast
- Performing some lead responsibilities which may include: training, assigning and/or reviewing work, providing guidance and overseeing work flow of unit
- Performing other duties as assigned

- Advanced analytical and statistical abilities including concepts such as standard deviation, forecast error, bias, safety stock calculations and mean average percent error (MAPE)
- Knowledge and experience working in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, SAP preferred
- Knowledge and experience working in Demand Planning systems, Logility preferred
- Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field, or equivalent education and experience
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of five years planning, production planning, forecasting and supply chain analytics
- Minimum of five years working in planning tools/software
