Job description

JLUXLABEL is a fast-growing women's fashion brand that designs and develops its products in-house. We are seeking a Demand Planner & Inventory Analyst with experience in fashion, apparel, e-commerce, beauty, or another high-SKU consumer-products environment. This is a hands-on forecasting and replenishment role. This role will analyze product performance, determine reorder quantities and timing, manage purchase orders, and help maintain healthy inventory levels that support sales while minimizing overstock. The ideal candidate has experience in demand planning, inventory planning, replenishment, supply planning, or inventory analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use Sage Demand Planning or similar demand planning software as the primary planning platform, working with data integrated from Shopify and NetSuite.
  • Monitor SKU-level sales velocity, inventory levels, weeks of supply, sell-through, historical performance, seasonality, and demand trends.
  • Identify strong-selling products that require replenishment and determine appropriate reorder quantities and timing.
  • Identify slow-moving and declining products and prevent unnecessary reorders that could create excess inventory.
  • Create, enter, maintain, and track purchase orders and ensure approved reorders are placed accurately and on time with vendors.
  • Work with vendors and internal teams to monitor production timing, lead times, expected delivery dates, and purchase order status.
  • Review inventory risks including potential stockouts, excess inventory, aged inventory, and imbalanced stock positions.
  • Maintain forecasting assumptions, reorder parameters, lead times, and other planning inputs within Sage Demand Planning.
  • Partner with Operations, Merchandising/Product, Finance, E-commerce, and leadership to align inventory decisions with sales trends and business priorities.
  • Provide regular reporting and recommendations on inventory health, replenishment opportunities, stock risks, and underperforming SKUs.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in demand planning, inventory planning, replenishment planning, supply planning, allocation, or a closely related analytical inventory role.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, sales velocity, sell-through, weeks of supply, inventory turns, lead times, safety stock, stockouts, and excess inventory.
  • Experience creating and managing purchase orders and coordinating with vendors or production partners.
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence making SKU-level recommendations based on data.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills.
  • Experience with ERP, inventory, or demand-planning systems; Sage Demand Planning experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience with NetSuite and/or Shopify is a strong asset.
  • Experience in fashion, apparel, e-commerce, or a high-SKU consumer product environment is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and ability to manage multiple purchase orders and deadlines simultaneously.
How Success Will Be Measured
  • Improved in-stock availability on high-performing products.
  • Fewer missed reorder opportunities and preventable stockouts.
  • Reduced over-ordering and excess inventory on slow-moving products.
  • Accurate and timely purchase order execution.
  • Improved forecast accuracy and inventory visibility.
  • Healthy inventory levels that support sales while protecting working capital.
Ideal Background

Candidates may come from demand planning, inventory planning, replenishment, supply chain, merchandise planning, or inventory analytics backgrounds. Applicants whose experience is primarily traditional brick-and-mortar fashion buying should clearly demonstrate hands-on forecasting, replenishment, SKU analysis, and inventory-planning experience.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Finance, Retail Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in fashion buying, merchandise planning, inventory planning, or a related function.
  • Experience within women’s apparel, ecommerce, or a fast-paced direct-to-consumer fashion brand strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build assortments and make purchasing or inventory recommendations using both product judgment and quantitative analysis.
  • Strong understanding of retail math, including sell-through, gross margin, inventory turnover, weeks of supply, stock-to-sales ratios, markdowns, and open-to-buy planning.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
  • Experience using Shopify and inventory, ERP, business‑intelligence, or merchandise‑planning systems preferred.
  • Strong understanding of fashion trends, consumer behavior, product lifecycles, and seasonal demand.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple collections, deadlines, and changing priorities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain data and recommendations clearly.
  • Highly collaborative, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
What Success Looks Like

  • Buying decisions are supported by reliable forecasts, historical performance, and clear product strategy.
  • Best sellers are identified and acted upon quickly.
  • Inventory risks are identified early and addressed through timely recommendations.
  • Cross-functional teams have clear visibility into assortment priorities, product performance, and inventory needs.
