Job summary

UST is seeking a Senior Demand Planner to develop SKU-level forecasts across an assigned portfolio using SAP Demand Planning within IBP. You will coordinate with Marketing, Sales Strategy, Sales Operations, CPFR, Finance and Supply Planning to use historical orders, POS trends, trade inventory and promotions to create accurate demand plans for new and existing products.

You will quantify forecast gaps, lead cross-functional reviews, maintain MAPe and forecast accuracy metrics, and identify

• Up to 10% travel (domestic/international).
• Kinaxis Planning systems experience also required.

Job description

The Senior Demand Planner is responsible for:

• Developing SKU-level operational forecasts for a number of products within an assigned portfolio via coordination of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes using SAP Demand Planning functionality.
• Interacting regularly with cross-functional partners including Marketing, Sales Strategy, Sales Operations, CPFR, Finance, & Supply Planning and will utilize historical order and shipment data, current POS trends, trade inventory data, and promotional activity information to develop the best possible demand plans for new and existing products.
• Quantifying and communicating forecast gaps, leading cross-functional forecast reviews in accordance with the IBP process standards and maintaining responsibilities for MAPE and Forecast Accuracy metrics and to identify areas of improvement.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required.
• A minimum of 4 years business experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of Excel (i.e. vLookups, pivot tables) is required.
• The ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives and work independently while demonstrating initiative is required.
• The ability to work in a matrix environment where priorities change rapidly, and tight deadlines exist is required.
• This position may require up to 10% domestic and international travel.

Desired Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in supply chain management or supporting supply chain preferably
• Manufacturing, distribution, customer service and/or planning is preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of SAP is preferred.
• Forecasting preferred
• Experience in the Consumer industry or other FDA regulated industry is preferred.
• APICS certification is preferred.
• Lean, Six-Sigma or Process Excellence training and/or certification is preferred.
