Job summary

Helen of Troy seeks a Demand Planner in Marlborough, MA to drive forecasting for Sales and Product across regions and channels. You’ll build regional demand plans, review trends, and collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product and Operations to optimize inventory and service levels.

The role requires 3+ years in demand planning, strong Excel skills, and experience with ERP systems. This position is on-site in Marlborough, MA with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Analytics or related discipline.
  • 3+ years demand planning or sales analysis for consumer goods.
  • Experience with inventory planning, demand and supply planning.
  • Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems; Oracle, Demantra or o9 beneficial.
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Forecasting activities for Sales and Product across region, channel and customers.
  • Develop regional category, sub-category and SKU level unit demand plans.
  • Review historical sales trends and prepare forecast data with statistical models.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product and Operations.
  • Provide input to inventory strategies for existing and new items.
  • Deliver monthly Regional Sales Forecast and Regional Demand Plan.
  • Support S&OP with KPI reporting and cross-functional updates.
  • Work with Sales and Operations to optimize inventory and service levels.
  • Lead process improvements and system implementations.

Position: Demand Planner
Department: Supply Chain – Wellness (Honeywell, PUR, Braun, and Vicks)
Work Location: Marlborough, MA
What you will be doing:

The Demand Planner is responsible for all forecasting activities associated with Sales and Product. The Demand Planner creates and maintains forecast and demand planning models for region, channel and customers incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, operations, product and retailer replenishment, sell-through analysis and other sources.

  • Prepare, review and distribute monthly sales/revenue forecasts by region and channel for multiple time horizons.

  • Develop regional category, sub-category and SKU level unit demand plans to key stakeholders that informs decision making and supply planning.

  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical models, and evaluate results.

  • Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing, Product and Operations.

  • Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products and product phase-outs.

  • Monthly delivery of Regional Sales Forecast and Regional Demand Plan in an easily understood manner.

  • 360 Feedback from cross functional teams/Accuracy of reporting.

  • Work closely with Sales and Operations to optimize inventory to achieve/exceed service level targets.

  • Systems implementations and process improvement.

  • Manage projects as assigned.

  • Provide deliverables for S&OP team and process improvements.

  • Update sales and operations leadership regularly on relevant KPI’s related to inventory, forecasting, and planning.

  • Consistent reporting and tracking

Skills needed to be successful in this role
  • Excellent analytical ability, able to communicate key demand changes and drivers to sales, marketing and leadership team

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Demonstrated high level of autonomy and ability to self-start

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work cross-functionally with key stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Analytics or related discipline

  • 3+ years previous demand planning or sales analysis for a consumer goods company

  • Experience with inventory planning, demand and supply planning

  • Microsoft office, strong Excel and reporting skills

  • Experience with ERP systems; Oracle, Demantra or o9 beneficial

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

In Massachusetts, the standard base pay range for this role is $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 annually. This base pay range is specific to Massachusetts and may notbe applicableto other locations. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skill level, and performance. The range listed is just onecomponentof the total compensation package for employees.
