Job summary

Fresenius Kabi in Lake Zurich, IL seeks a Demand Planner to develop and maintain demand forecasts for assigned business groups using sales forecasts, historical shipment data, and marketing plans.

You will review demand patterns with ORI, Qlik Sense, and SAP Analytics Cloud, report insights to the senior planning team, assist in new product launch forecasting, and coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Procurement to align demand with business objectives.

Job description

• Develop and maintain demand forecasts for assigned business groups using sales forecasts, historical shipment data, and marketing plans.
• Use ORI (Operations Results), Qlik Sense, and SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud) to review demand patterns and identify sales gaps requiring forecast adjustments.
• Report demand insights to senior planning team members.
• Assist in new product launch forecasting and product phase-out activities.
• Facilitate demand review meetings with Marketing under the guidance of senior planning team members.
• Recommend forecast adjustments based on data analysis, document insights, and follow up on forecast assumptions.
• Maintain detailed meeting notes on market intelligence and business assumptions and share insights with S&OP stakeholders.
• Assist with reviewing and coordinating Supply Chain Agreements for new product launches and annual updates.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and forecast bias KPIs.
• Monitor excess inventory and short-date risk KPIs.Perform root cause analysis of forecast variances to improve forecasting processes and planning tools.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Procurement, and Customer Service to align demand plans with business objectives.
• Participate in the monthly Sales & Operations Planning process and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Must possess a bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, data validation, and analysis of large data sets.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and communicate effectively with a broad range of multicultural partners.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• Ability and willingness to learn planning systems, reporting tools, and business processes in a structured supply chain environment.
• Knowledge of forecasting principles and inventory management concepts.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; Fresenius Kabi is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa.
• Must be able to effectively speak, read, write, and understand English to perform the essential functions of the position.
