Job summary

SkyWater Search Partners is partnering with a Southern Minnesota food manufacturer to fill a newly created Demand Planner role. You will own the company’s demand forecast and act as the link between sales and operations, shaping production and inventory plans to align with forecasted demand.

You will build and maintain forecast models, partner with sales, marketing, and finance, and report on forecast accuracy and inventory metrics. A background in manufacturing, especially food, is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain experience.
• Experience with S&OP processes and ERP systems is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and MS Excel skills.
• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).

Responsibilities

• Build and manage the demand forecast using sales history and statistical forecasting tools.
• Keep production schedules, supply plans, inventory, and distribution on pace with expected demand.
• Partner with sales, marketing, and finance teams to adjust forecasts based on product promotions, new product launches and market trends.
• Report on forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and other key planning metrics while looking for ways to make improvements.
• Maintain forecasting models, reports, and dashboards.
• Assist with capacity planning, inventory optimization, and phasing out discontinued products.
• Other projects or duties as assigned.

SkyWater is partnering with an existing client in Southern Minnesota to find a Demand Planner for their growing team! This is a newly created role that will own the company’s demand forecast and serve as the link between sales and operations. This person will be responsible for building & maintaining forecasts, keeping production & inventory plans on pace with expected demand, reporting on forecast performance, and working with company leadership teams across sales, finance, & operations. Our client is a growing food manufacturer that’s a leader in their space and has a strong customer base. They recently completed a large expansion project and are adding to their supply chain team to support their continued growth.
