Job description
Overview

As Demand Generation Marketing Manager in a small but growing Marketing team, your primary focus will be on the development and ongoing execution of an efficient demand engine, but will extend into other areas including marketing operations. This will include amplifying our messaging through organic and paid channels, conversion optimization, email marketing, events, and campaign development. It’s through your demand generation and demand capture programs that will fuel the growth of our established markets (insurance agencies and networks), and forge a path into our growing API business (insurtechs, fintechs, insurance carriers, mortgage, auto lending).

You will be working closely with a small functional marketing team and reporting directly to the Vice President of Marketing.

This is an opportunity to get in early with a well-capitalized startup.

About you

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience planning and executing demand programs that leverage both inbound and outbound tactics. You’ll have support with content, messaging, and design, but you’ll need to be capable of doing it all yourself as well.

Specifically, you’ll need to have demonstrated competency in:

  • Marketing campaign planning and execution
  • Digital advertising (Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, Metadata.io)
  • Hubspot Marketing and CRM
  • Copywriting
  • Demand measurement and reporting
  • AI Prompt Engineering
  • Project Management
  • Web content management (Webflow) and basic CSS & HTML
Responsibilities
  • Demand program development—drive revenue through website signups, demo requests, and through sales teams.
  • Advertising—manage Google search advertising, social media advertising, and evaluate sponsorships. You’ll write copy and use templated creatives. We use Metadata.io as an advertising platform; experience with Metadata.io is a plus.
  • Marketing operations—track data and activities in Hubspot. Create and manage workflows for campaigns, data flow, and attribution. Manage reporting dashboards. Hubspot admin experience a plus.
  • Email marketing—nurture leads through impactful email campaigns.
  • Cross-functional alignment—work closely with the sales and product teams to agree on priorities and processes.
  • Measurement—forecast, measure, analyze, and report on the impact of demand creation activities, sales pipeline, sales cycle length, and revenue.
  • Testing and optimization—drive continuous performance improvement and learning from tactics and campaigns.
  • Budgeting and forecasting—recommend, manage, and adhere to a budget so that investments make sense and are appropriate to growth needs.
  • Teamwork makes the dream work—we are a small team and we are all expected to contribute across the company as needed.

Please note that we are only accepting candidates who are authorized to work in the United States or Canada.

Experience & Education

It doesn’t matter where you went to school or where you’ve worked—what matters is that you can demonstrate the competencies we’re looking for, have a desire to learn and grow, and can find a way to make things happen.

We are hiring in the United States and Canada to work fully remotely.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role is $85-110k, and could increase beyond that commensurate with experience.

  • Healthcare: We offer company-sponsored health, dental and vision insurance for employees and dependents.
  • Equity: We are a team of owners and we provide our team with generous equity grants.

  • Remote Friendly: We are a fully distributed team. We all work remotely. We offer a $1,000 stipend to equip you with a home office that is comfortable and personalized to your needs.
  • Friday Reimbursed Lunch: Order lunch on Fridays, and we'll cover it!
  • 401K: We offer a 3.5% match.
