Job summary

Robert E. Mason & Associates, Inc. seeks a skilled Control System Design Engineer to join our team. The role focuses on hardware and electrical design for control systems, migration to DeltaV, and startup commissioning across industrial facilities.

The candidate will handle panel design, lifecycle ownership of documents, and support on-site cutovers, with emphasis on reliability, safety, and project delivery. This position offers competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

Requires a two-year technical associate degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
Minimum three years of relevant facilities experience with control systems, instrumentation, and electrical design responsibilities.
United States citizenship with valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Design control system panel hardware layouts including BOMs, heat dissipation, environmental constraints and component selection.
Design electrical circuits for AC/DC power, power loading, and circuit sizing.
Design buss instrumentation segments (Foundation Fieldbus, DeviceNet, ASi, Profibus, serial).
Modify/create P&ID’s, loop sheets, IO lists, cable schedules and schematics.
Support site cutover activities including construction management and startup support.
