Job summary

JC Automation is seeking an Intermediate Automation Engineer with Emerson DeltaV experience to support a life sciences manufacturing site in Walkersville, Maryland. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with automation systems in regulated environments and will assist with system configuration, testing, commissioning, and continuous improvement.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure GMP compliance, participate in FAT/SAT, and help maintain documentation, loops,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
3+ years of automation or controls engineering experience.
Hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV.
Experience in regulated environments (pharma/ biotech).
Understanding PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS, instrumentation, and control systems.
Experience supporting commissioning, startup, FAT/SAT.
GMP knowledge and proper documentation practices.
Strong troubleshooting and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Support configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of DeltaV control systems.
Assist with system modifications, upgrades, commissioning, and startup activities.
Participate in FAT, SAT, loop checks, functional testing, and field troubleshooting.
Develop and maintain automation documentation and records.
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, operations, quality, and validation teams.
