Software Engineer 2

The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation application enhancements and new products for a changing world. What you’ll achieve:

Be a part of a team that’s ensuring Dell Technologies’ product integrity and customer satisfaction. Our IT Software Engineer team turns business requirements into technology solutions by designing, coding and testing/debugging applications, as well as documenting procedures for use and constantly seeking quality improvements.

You will:

1. Work with business applications across functional areas
2. Assist in coding, testing and debugging new software or making enhancements to existing software
3. Collaborate in and sprint plan for multiple projects being implemented in parallel
4. Support design and code reviews with a major focus on the best user experience, performance, scalability and future expansion

Essential Requirements:

• 6-9 years of experience in software application development.
• Strong experience in design, development using micro-services architecture (using .net Core, SpringBoot, Angular, python, etc.) for deployment to cloud technologies (preferably Pivotal Cloud Foundry).
• Deep knowledge and experience in design, development of applications on both relational (Oracle, MemSQL) and No-SQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.) skills.
• Good experience in Middleware technology like Kafka, Rabbit MQ and experience in data processing tools like Spark and Scala.
• Fair knowledge of Data structures, Algorithms, APIs, and Designing for performance, scalability, and availability.

Desirable Requirements:

• Familiarity with XP/Agile/SCRUM development methodologies and software development lifecycle principles.
