What you’ll achieve

In this role we are looking for individuals who are passionate about data and the possibilities of leveraging it to power intelligent, insightful and impactful outcomes. You will be working with some of the best minds and talents in the data space including business stakeholders, architects, application teams, privacy, security, governance etc. We believe in empowering our teams and leaders to take end to end ownership of the outcomes with the highest focus on quality, stability, security and customer satisfaction.

You will:

1. Design high performance and resilient architecture with MPP platforms like Greenplum, Hadoop, Teradata and Snowflake/Databricks.
2. Select tools/technology and develop reference patterns for all aspects of data solutions including data acquisition, ingestion, storage, transformation, data virtualization and consumption.
3. Design architecture to support high reliability, high quality, high volume data pipelines.
4. Develop roadmaps and implementation strategy around data science initiatives; Review of existing solutions and recommending new patterns that are resilient and cost effective.
5. Innovate using contemporary data processing patterns, while simplifying existing footprint; Develop business case and roadmaps to achieve modernization and simplification objectives.

Essential Requirements

1. 10+ years of relevant IT experience in Data-Warehousing Technologies with excellent communication and analytical skills; distributed big data solutions, in the capacity of a software architect, solutions architect or engineering leader.
2. Experience in designing and implementing production grade solutions on both on-prem and cloud based MPP data platforms.
3. Design and implementation experience in all aspects of data processing and consumption, including data acquisition, ingestion, processing, data virtualization and orchestration.
4. Experience in implementing data catalog, governance and data entitlements; designing or implementing CI/CD practices in data engineering.
5. Experience in implementing cloud based MPP platforms like Snowflake and/or Databricks; Team player and strong influencer.

Desirable Requirements

1. Bachelor of Engineering or Master of Computer Science or equivalent working experience.
