IT Senior Software Engineer

What you’ll achieve:

As an IT Senior Software Engineer, you will deliver products and improvements for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, you will craft and develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications and diagnostics — all with the most sophisticated technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and partnerships.

You will:

• Design specifications for high availability and highly scalable applications which will be used by both internal and external customers.
• Work with clients and business analysts to settle software requirements and system impacts.
• Manage projects with small to moderate budgets; may perform in project leadership role and/or supervise the activities of lower-level personnel.
• Conduct and supervise production launches and post-launch support, coordinating with geographically distributed teams in conference calls.

Essential Requirements:

1. 8+ years of experience in IT including some experience in architecture roles.
2. Experience building multi-tier, scalable, fault tolerant web applications.
3. Experience with platform integrations and designing service APIs.
4. Expertise with identity management, authentication and information security best practices.
5. Expertise in working with complex cross-domain applications in a global organization across multiple time zones.
6. Enjoys a fast paced, high-intensity and complex environment, troubleshooting time sensitive critical issues and working with people.
7. Extensive experience with multi-tier transactional architecture and design.
8. Extensive experience in enterprise software development in Java Spring boot and web development stacks (Angular, NodeJS, HTML CSS).
9. Experience in designing and maintaining SQL and NoSQL database schema.
10. Extensive relevant experience in building application using container-orchestration systems like Kubernetes, and container engines like Docker and in building real-time event streaming apps using Kafka, and RabbitMQ message broker.
11. Experience using Agile methodologies, with previous experience working from a backlog, sprints, retrospectives etc.
12. Passionate about test driven, clean code, automatically tested and continuous deployment.
13. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
14. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to present and convey ideas.
15. Strong attention to detail; action-oriented attitude, and willingness to roll up sleeves.

Desirable Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Mathematics, or related field preferred.
2. More than 8 years applied experience in testing/coding/IT software.
