Job summary

Builders General Supply Company (BGS) is seeking a reliable and responsible Drivers Helper to join our team in the Direct Millwork division located in Washington, NJ. You will assist with loading, unloading, and delivering materials to customers, while maintaining safety and organization on site.

Key duties include assisting forklift operators, securing loads, helping customers, and supporting the driver with navigation and inventory checks as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Experience in lumber or building supplies is a plus.
• Knowledge of materials, methods and tools used in building is helpful.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders and load/unload trucks.
• Assist with loading and securing items to prevent damage.
• Help customers at job sites and in the yard or warehouse.
• Assist forklift operators and move materials as directed.
• Install protective devices to prevent shifting or damage.
