Reece Supply Company in Apopka, FL is hiring for a Warehouse Associate and Delivery Driver. The role combines warehouse duties with driving to deliver materials and equipment within the sales territory.

A valid driver’s license and clean driving history are required, with experience operating a sit-down forklift and RF scanner preferred. The position offers full-time hours, bi-weekly pay, and a benefits package including 401(k) match, health and vision/dental coverage, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must have a clean 7-year driving history with no DWI.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Comfortable walking and standing for more than 80% of the work day.
• Ability to read a map and follow directions to customer sites.
• 2-3 years of box truck driving experience.
• Must be able to drive a sit-down forklift.
• Good knowledge of basic math and reading skills.
• Active listening skills to contribute to effective communication.
• Must be able to lift 2 to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Makes deliveries daily to customers in the sales territory in an efficient manner, minimizing the time away from the warehouse while driving the vehicle in a safe & courteous manner.
• Reports any mechanical issues with the delivery vehicle to the supervisor immediately.
• Delivers or routes materials to shipping or delivery area in the warehouse, using work devices, such as hand-trucks, carts, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
• Examines pallet loads and package contents in order to compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment
• Confers and corresponds with supervisors or sales representatives to resolve problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance specifications
• Stock material, equipment, and supplies to maintain inventory of stock
• Pull orders and stage material in shipping or delivery area in the warehouse, using work devices, such as hand-trucks, carts, pallet, jacks, and lift-trucks
• General housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in warehouse
• Perform other duties as assigned
